BARREL DESCRIPTION

            CODE:             Non-code(Complies with HM-198A) 

            CAPACITY:          7500 Gallons (Shell full) 

               SHAPE:            Straight round construction, aluminum two-piece barrel with one circumferential weld, .249 belly material, .219 remaining barrel material.  Heads are inserted, .219 thickness before forming. 

            COMPARTMENTS:          One.

            BAFFLES:          .250 full circle baffles, two equally spaced in barrel. 

            WELD FINISH:          W-0 inside.

            OPERATING PRESSURE:          Atmospheric. 

            DESIGN TEMPERATURE:          375 degrees F. maximum 

            PRODUCT:          Asphalt

            HEAT:          None.

RINGS AND LONGERONS:            Aluminum channel sections fully welded to barrel.  Aluminum longerons. 

FRAME:            Aluminum outriggers and crossmembers welded to aluminum angle extrusion frame. 

UPPER FIFTH WHEEL:            5/16" Heavy-duty upper fifth wheel plate with A.A.R. style double hubbed kingpin, adjustable in 2" increments.  Kingpin plate painted gray.

FLASHING

            DAM:            Aluminum construction located at approximately the center of the trailer, with polyethylene drain hoses, each side. 

            APRON:            .090 Aluminum apron, 5" either side of dam and down to 3 and 9 o'clock on sides of barrel. 

            OVERTURN PROTECTION:          Aluminum box type, per D.O.T. 406 specifications. 

MANHOLE AND GASKET

MANHOLE:            Polar 20" diameter steel cover, single holddown, with aluminum collar, hinged to front with high temperature Teflon weave gasket in cover. 

         SPLASH DEFLECTOR:            Aluminum, pan installed under manhole at bottom of barrel. 

INSULATION:          Fiberglass, 5" compressed to 4". 

THERMOMETER:            50 degrees to 550 degrees F.  remote sensing, bulb type Thermometer installed curbside. 

JACKETING:            Belly wrapped .032" aluminum jacket with lapped seams, .063 aluminum heads lock-seamed to jacket. 

DOCUMENT HOLDER:          Betts, PS-1 on landing gear frame. 

CALIBRATION:            Paper theoretical chart, in Ό” increments based on innage. 

SUPPORTS

               LANDING GEAR:            AUSTIN, "Lift-pak" round leg 2-speed, steel, sand shoes, 50,000 lb. lift capacity, roadside crank handle.

UNDERCARRIAGE

            SUSPENSION:            HENDRICKSON INTRAAX AAT23K AIRRIDE TANDEM. MANUAL DUMP KIT INCLUDED WITH BENDIX PUSH PULL SWITCH MOUNTED AT REAR OF TRAILER. 

            SUBFRAME:            3/16” Stainless steel subframe bolted to extruded aluminum upper frame. 

            AXLES:            HENDRICKSON MODEL HN, 5" round x ½” thick wall, 71 ½” track.

WHEELS AND TIRES

                        WHEELS:            22.5 x 8.25 ALCOA ALUMINUM disc, 10-hole, hub piloted, outside wheels polished. 

            TIRES:            11R-22.5 Dunlop SP160 radials 

TIRE CARRIER:            One 4”H x 12”W x 22’L aluminum hose trough,  attached rear curbside.  One 4”H x 8”W x 8’L aluminum hose trough, at front 36” behind swivel with front of trough open for hose to lay in while connected to swivel elbow.  Install drain hose at rear of long trough. 

FENDERS:            Front and rear - aluminum contour fenders with aluminum front and STAINLESS steel rear fender supports and stainless steel mounting hardware. 

MUDFLAPS:            White rubber, anti-sail and anti-spray type, front and rear, with Polar logo. 

LIGHTS AND WIRING

            LIGHTS:            12-volt, Truck Lite “Super 44” flange mounted L.E.D. lights  Combination center marker/turn signals. Stainless steel security rings on L.E.D. lights.  Reflectors per D.O.T. requirements. 

            WIRING:          Molded main lead, without circuit breakers. 

            REAR LIGHTS:          Enclosed in stainless steel light boxes. 

WALKWAY:            12" Wide aluminum grip strut, FOUR SIDES of dam.  

LADDER:            Aluminum tubular, with grip steps, attached to walkway, curbside. 

VALVING:            Betts, RH45919-ALA 4" aluminum asphalt valve welded in rear head with 4" NPT threaded end. 

SAMPLE VALVE:          One Ύ” Sample valve attached to rear head. 

SUCTION LINE:             3" Aluminum internal suction line from rear sump to curbside front above fender with Betts 3" FB-743-ALA aluminum Integral Hydrolet T-style valve with 3" NPT end with OPW #3840 3” steel swivel elbow installed.. 

ADAPTOR AND CAP:             4” x 3” Concentric reducer with 3” dust cap, no adapter, and cap installed on swivel. 

CLEANOUTS:             No cleanouts installed. 

VENTING:            Asphalt free breathing volume vent with overflow drain, mounted in spill dam. 

SEAL PROVISIONS:          None. 

PLACARDS:             Four (4) aluminum slip in type mounted four sides of tank. 

DECALS

CUSTOMER LOGO:          None.

         CONSPICUITY TAPE:          Discontinuous 3M Tape per N.H.T.S.A. requirements. 

PAINT:            Acrylic enamel black on all carbon steel parts.
